About us

The Centre for the Greek Language was established in 1994 as a private, non-profit organization supervised by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports. It is based in Thessaloniki and is recognized as one of the country’s scientific research institutions. Its mission is to provide scientific analysis and documentation of trends in the Greek language both within Greece and internationally.
